Oral Hygiene Teams - Whitby & Oshawa Dental Offices
At the core of our Whitby and Oshawa dental offices is a belief in the importance of preventative dentistry. To achieve optimal oral health for our patients we work closely with our Hygiene team during each visit.
During your hygiene visit to either of our offices our Hygiene Team will:
- visually assess your overall oral health
- look for signs of cavities
- assess your gums for signs of gingivitis and periodontal disease
- take and develop X-rays (based on your hygiene schedule)
- perform a visual and tactile head and, neck and oral tissue examinations to look for oral cancer
- scale your teeth to remove plaque and calculus from above and below the gum line
- educate and work with you to create an oral hygiene plan for your needs
