At our Oshawa dental office, we regularly perform root canal endodontic treatment in order to remove infections and save our patients' teeth. When a tooth becomes infected it can spread into the dental pulp, which is the center of the tooth. Inside the dental pulp are the nerves, connective tissue, and blood vessels. These are where all the sensitive areas of the tooth are contained. As such, when the area becomes infected it can be incredibly painful, requiring immediate treatment.
